The Idaho State Wrestling Tournament is this Friday 2/25 & Saturday 2/26 at the Holt Arena. We have 10 wrestlers headed to state. Good luck to our wrestlers. You can find all the information about the tournament here...

Academic planning for Sophomore's Juniors, and Seniors is currently taking place during the school day and will continue throughout this week. Each students counselor is calling them down individually to work with each student. The 2022-23 Freshman will be participating in academic planning on the evenings of March 14th-16th. More information will be released soon about these nights.
Preferential schedule changes are now open to students for the 3rd trimester. Students need to fill out a google form on the counselors google classroom and they will review the request.
Finals for the 2nd trimester are coming up next week on March 2nd and 3rd. Please make attendance on these days a priority as missing finals can have an impact on a students academics. No school for students on Friday March 4th for record day. Monday March 7th will be the first day of the 3rd Trimester. Please contact the school with questions or concerns.

Monday 2/28, after school, in the media center, ALEKS testing will be starting again for students that are doing dual enrollment science or math and need to take the ALEKS test. Not sure if you need it? Contact the college and career advisors to check and they will help you get signed up.

Extra Curriculars'
Boys District Basketball tonight 2/22. We play Thunder Ridge in a do or die game. Loser is done for the season and winner moves on to play the loser of Rigby vs. Madison to see who goes to state. Let's go Rams!
Wednesday 2/23 Choir and Orchestra are performing together for a collaborative concert at 7:30pm in the Main Gym. We are excited to hear them preform together.
Congratulations to FCCLA . Twenty-five students qualified for state competition! They are now preparing for state competition.
Speech and Debate had 12 students qualify for nationals and they won the tournament over the weekend! They are preparing for districts this Friday 2/25 and Saturday 2/26 at American Falls High School. Dr. Steve Morton, our Assistant Principal, was also recognized as Idaho Mountain River District Supportive Administrator of the Year Award!
Highland Drama proudly presents Shrek the Musical! Performances will be at 7pm starting March 3rd-March 8th. With a matinee at 1pm on Saturday March 6th and no performances on Sunday March 7th. General Admission is $10 and $5 for students with a card. You can purchase your tickets online at https://highlandhs.booktix.com/
Spring Sports, Track and Field, Tennis, Golf, Baseball, and Softball are starting this Friday. Please reach out to the coach of the specific sport or the athletic director if you need more information. Also, when spring starts, please keep an eye on the activities calendar as events can change quickly because of weather.

JUNIORS Girls and Boys State
A fast-paced, hands-on experience which teaches Americanism and the Political Process. Attendees are divided into cities, counties and political parties; delegates participate in mock government by developing city responsibilities, running for political office and debating/passing legislation.

Girls State will be held June 12-17
Boys State will be held June 13-19
There is a cost to attend.
