Greetings, Highland Students & Families,
Last week’s Senior Celebration was, we thought, a lovely success. To look out and see seniors in their caps and gowns, get a sense of their futures and goals, and to feel the support the school community was inspiring and . . . monumental. Yes, we can do hard things – and do them well. The school year is winding down. Here are some nuggets of information for students and families.
Seniors – Request Your Transcripts!
Senior students who plan to attend a 2- or 4-year college, an apprenticeship, or training program, will need to have their final high school transcripts sent to those places or programs.
High School Transcripts:
~~ Go to hhsrams.com => Scroll down to Counseling Department => Click on the Registrar tab => Click on Transcript Request. Very simple 4-page form; the Idaho schools are on page 2. On page 4, at the very bottom, indicate that you would like your FINAL high school transcript sent. Order these now, so you won’t forget as school wraps up. Transcript requests are free until you graduate, and then there will be a modest charge.
College Transcripts for dual credit:
~~ Type National Clearinghouse into a Google search, and then click on Transcripts. The process is intuitive and easy. You’ll know you are in the right place when you see the spinning tree. Transcripts cost about $7.50 or $10 for each one requested. As with high school transcripts, you can ask for in-progress transcripts or final transcripts. If you don’t know or can’t find your student ID number (which is often the case for CSI), you may enter your Social Security number. And as with high school transcripts, order them now before you forget. If you have any questions about this process, just stop by the college career advisors.

Idaho Opportunity Scholarship – Watch Your E-mail !
SENIORS: Idaho Opportunity Scholarships (for use in college or training programs in Idaho) have been awarded and students are being notified. Students will receive an email and then have about ten days to accept or decline the offer. Do not miss out on this great scholarship, which is renewable for up to four years.
If you applied to the Idaho Opportunity Scholarship, please be checking your personal email regularly. If you are offered this scholarship, you need to respond and accept it lickety split. The award amount will not be found in the notification email, but the school you plan to attend will know the amount. Contact Financial Planning at the college or training program to find out the dollar amount. Failure to watch and respond could mean losing thousands of dollars over the course of college and training.
Summer 2022 => the ACT
Juniors, this is our invitation to take yet another test -- yippee! If you want to have two different college admissions tests, your Advanced Opportunities funds will reimburse you for just about all of the cost of a summer ACT test. You have to pay in advance, but if you share your email confirmation with the college career advisors, we can get you reimbursed. There is a June 11th (you may late register until May 20th) and a July 16th ACT. You can opt to take the ACT with Writing if you feel pretty confident about your writing skills. You can prepare and take the ACT in the summer when you don’t have other academics competing for your attention or nipping at your heels. Seems like a good idea.
Your friend neighborhood college career advisors,
Sarah & Carly

We will be open from 4-6 PM Monday - Friday. Until the end of the school year or until we run out of plants. Lots of great plants this year with low prices even with inflation so I am hoping to sell out sooner rather than later. We were able to recycle a lot of containers and use some of the over stock from last year.
Attached you will spreadsheet with prices and my contact info, and some information on the plants. Make a copy and use it as an order form and send it to me or bring it with you to shop in the green house. Thanks!
