Dear Parent/Guardian, Student, and Highland Ram Supporter,
Thank you to EXXON Mobil and Common Cents who gave Highland a $500 donation for Math and Science Programs. We appreciate your continual support of our students and school.
Congratulations to Coach Tish Coverdell who was chosen as Idaho Softball Coach of the Year! We are so proud of her and the positive impact she has on students and student athletes at Highland High School and on all in our community.
Also, congratulations to Tommy Togiai for being chosen as Gatorade Player of the Year! This is a major honor for him and for all those who have worked both in the academic and athletic settings with Tommy over the years.
In its 33rd year, the Gatorade Player of the Year
program is proud to recognize the nation’s most outstanding high school athletes
for their athletic excellence, academic achievement, and exemplary character. A livestream showcasing Tommy's highlights and achievements, will be broadcast on Hudl’s Facebook page at 7:00
p.m. CST. Follow Hudl at www.facebook.com/hudl to catch Tommy's spotlight
and learn who won across the nation.
We wish everyone a merry winter break and a happy new year. Please be safe over the holiday's.
A committee was formed a few months ago to pursue the idea of boundary development and adoption for middle and high school students in our district. The committees progress of decisions regarding this boundary development and adoption is included here. This is a proposal of boundaries and boundary adoption transition procedures and will be presented to the school board. This presentation has been changed until after winter break. After winter break, the school board will also set up a meeting for public input. After receiving public input, the school board will then hold another meeting and make a decision with how to proceed with boundary development and adoption. Please contact the district office with any questions or concerns.

News and information from the Counselors and College/ career Advisors
Seniors please be aware that some
colleges/universities require your ACT/SAT scores to be on your transcript by
the due date. In the past, taking the test prior to the deadline even though
the scores were not posted was allowed.
Please take some time to investigate what your college(s) require.
Seniors, once you apply for
admissions to a college/university, please give the registrar ample time (2
weeks) to send your transcript. If you wait until the last minute, your
transcript will not arrive by the scheduled deadline which in turn can
eliminate your chances for academic scholarships. It is your responsibility to
ensure that you are aware of the deadlines for application, scholarships and
admissions.
