If You Missed Schedule Pickup
It was so great to see so many students at schedule pickup. Students who were not able to make it can come to PV-TEC before Wednesday 8/16 of this week. Starting Wednesday 8/16 we are expected to be at Highland. Please contact the school with any questions or concerns.

There has been a lot of progress made on Highland High School, getting it ready for students and staff for the school year. The city and fire inspectors are reviewing the school and will determine if it is fit for occupancy. We are expected to be back in Highland starting Wednesday 8/16. We appreciate everyone working so diligently to get the school ready for this school year. It is sad to see a piece of the school gone where a lot of time was spent by students, staff, and community, but it is also exciting to think of what could possibly be in the next few years.

Freshman Orientation and All Student Openhouse Changed to Tuesday 8/22/23
On Tuesday 8/22/23 at 6:30pm Freshman and their parents will have a brief orientation at the Highland Football Stadium. After the orientation, freshman students are invited into the school to find each of their scheduled classes and to become familiar with the school layout so they can be ready for the first day of school. All Highland students, their parents, and interested community members are also invited to walk through the school at 7:30pm.

The First Day of School
Students first day of school is August 23rd.
Students will start the first day off at the Highland Stadium with a Welcome Back Assembly. After the assembly students will then go to TA to checkout their chromebook. Students who travel to PV-TEC or ISU as part of their schedule will not travel on the first day of school, but they will travel on the 2nd day of school.

Here is the bell schedule for the first day of school:

Reminder to please make the effort to attend schedule pickup at the PV-TEC (4200 Hawthorne Rd.. Chubbuck, ID 83202) building next Wednesday 8/9 and Thursday 8/10 from 8am-1pm and 4pm-7pm. You can pick up your schedule, pay fees or set up a payment plan, get a yearbook photo, etc. Here are the details and flyers associated with  schedule pickup:

We hope to see you there.

We are so excited for school to start and to be back in our building at Highland High School! The plan is to start school on time on August 23rd at Highland. A few of our classes will be located in different areas. Weights, Yoga and some Health classes along with the Athletic Trainers will be in the Gateway Building on the east side of the tennis courts on Highland's campus. Also, Choir, Band, and Orchestra will be meeting in the Calvary Chapel about 3 blocks south from Highland and across Olympus. Welding will be held at ISU. We took out the lockers in the front commons area and that will serve as our cafeteria. Food Service does have a kitchen available in the Gateway Building. They will prepare the food there and then bring it and serve it in the front commons. Some extra curricular's will also be practicing in alternate locations. Parking in the student lot should be available for this school year.

We will have a Freshman Orientation on Monday August 21st at 6:30pm staring in Highland High School Stadium. We will then move inside where students can walk through their schedules and become familiar with the building. All students are invited to come do the same at 7pm.

The school board is looking at a couple of options for what to do with Highland High School in the future. There is a public forum where you can sign up to speak and come share what you think should be done with the school board. Here is the flyer for the event with the scenarios the school board is considering:
