If You Missed Schedule Pickup
It was so great to see so many students at schedule pickup. Students who were not able to make it can come to PV-TEC before Wednesday 8/16 of this week. Starting Wednesday 8/16 we are expected to be at Highland. Please contact the school with any questions or concerns.
There has been a lot of progress made on Highland High School, getting it ready for students and staff for the school year. The city and fire inspectors are reviewing the school and will determine if it is fit for occupancy. We are expected to be back in Highland starting Wednesday 8/16. We appreciate everyone working so diligently to get the school ready for this school year. It is sad to see a piece of the school gone where a lot of time was spent by students, staff, and community, but it is also exciting to think of what could possibly be in the next few years.
Freshman Orientation and All Student Openhouse Changed to Tuesday 8/22/23
On Tuesday 8/22/23 at 6:30pm Freshman and their parents will have a brief orientation at the Highland Football Stadium. After the orientation, freshman students are invited into the school to find each of their scheduled classes and to become familiar with the school layout so they can be ready for the first day of school. All Highland students, their parents, and interested community members are also invited to walk through the school at 7:30pm.
The First Day of School
Students first day of school is August 23rd.
Students will start the first day off at the Highland Stadium with a Welcome Back Assembly. After the assembly students will then go to TA to checkout their chromebook. Students who travel to PV-TEC or ISU as part of their schedule will not travel on the first day of school, but they will travel on the 2nd day of school.

We are so excited to get the school year up and going. Our fall extracurriculars are in full swing starting with games and competitions this week. Homecoming week has been set for the first week of September, September 5-September 9. The 2023-24 school year is here and it is going to be great!
