COLLEGE & CAREER ADVISORS (CCA'S)
The CCA's from all three of the High School's are hosting an Apprenticeships + Night at Pocatello High School on December 7th, from 6:00-7:30.  We are inviting all grades. We would like to make sure all our students get as much information as possible about possible career paths out there.

Dear Highland Students & Families,

Hope your Thanksgiving break was one filled with gratitude, some respite, and all the

foods. Here are some items for you to keep in mind during this warm up to the end of

the calendar year.

Seniors: Did Your GPA Come Up?

If you are a senior who has applied to college, training programs, or career technical

education and your GPA came up, even a little, after Tri 1, please have your updated

transcripts sent to the colleges and programs of your choice. Go to highland.sd25.us

click on “Find it Fast” and in the upper right go to “popular searches.” At the far left, scroll

down and click on “Request a Transcript.” Then click on the big red button that says

“Current Student Transcript Requests Form.” Easy peasy 4-page form. Visit the CCAs

with any questions.

FSA ID / FAFSA

Seniors, have you completed and submitted your FAFSA? It’s a two-step process: 1)

you create an FSA ID, 2) you complete and submit the FAFSA with the help of your

family, your guardian, or your parents. The CCAs are glad to help you get this important

document done.

Senioritis – Don’t Go There

Just like the headline says: don’t let senioritis afflict you. It’s a real thing and can derail

some of the best-laid plans and aspirations. There’s a line in a movie I like for you to

keep in mind: You are good. You are kind. You are smart. We want you to be your best

and meet the future confident and strong.

My friend Dave Drews would call this hair-on-fire time. OK, it’s not quite that bad, but it’s

hectic and the first trimester is over already. The rest of the year will go by in a shot.

Don’t take your eyes off the ball.

Sarah & Alice
