===================================================
Dear Highland students & families,
We have been busy with college visits, college applications, encouraging students to
attend Experience ISU, and all that good stuff. For our underclassmen, ISU offers a
Health Experience Night, and our seniors are working like demons on their college
applications and ordering transcripts, and next week we’ll have a FAFSA Night. Lots
going on and lots to look forward to for all our students,
Sarah & Alice

FAFSA Night – Mark your calendar – Wed., November
9th
Students applying for scholarship, financial aid, and some student loans will need to
complete the FAFSA (the Free Application for Federal Student Aid). We will have a
FAFSA Night at Highland on Wednesday, November 9 th , from 6 to 8 pm, in the
Library. Food will be served. There will be school staff and ISU professionals there to
help.
Bring:
Yourself and a parent or guardian (if it's possible to bring a parent / guardian).
Your personal email address.
Fully charged phone for you AND your parent or guardian.
Your personal ChromeBook or personal laptop (there aren’t enough extra
computers in the library for everyone to have one).
Your Social Security number and the S.S. # of the parent / guardian with you.
Birthdates; dates of marriages / divorces.
Tax information for student and parent / guardian for 2021.
A list of all the colleges you applied to (or will apply to) and which you want to
receive your financial information.
Records of untaxed income (if that applies to you).
Both student and parent will establish an FSA ID that night (if they haven’t already), it
will be helpful to have an FSA ID established ahead of November 9 th .
Además, habrá miembros del personal que hablen español.
Apply Idaho October
All students with a Government class this tri-mester completed Apply Idaho (the state’s
online platform to easily apply to 10 Idaho colleges and universities) on October 12 th .
We have been following up with students who might have started but didn’t complete
their application and are now calling in students who don’t have Government. You / your
student can wait to be invited by the CCAs to do Apply Idaho, or he or she can be pro-
active and visit us without prompting and we will be glad to help.
So . . . ask your student: =Which Apply Idaho schools did you apply to? =Did you
request transcripts? =Do you want to apply to out-of-state colleges? =Did you have
your Social Security number to enter into the application?
A student’s college application is NOT complete without transcripts, so let’s all be sure
that transcripts were requested.
Students, watch your email for notifications about the status of your applications.
