Congratulations to the Highland Debate team who qualified 16 students for state and took 1st place at districts! State will be March 13th and 14th at Boise High School.

Congratulations to our wrestling team for winning the district championship and taking 2nd at the State Tournament. Losing to Post Falls by only 4 pts, 213-209.  Nineteen of our wrestlers went to the state tournament and 11 placed in the top 6 with 2 in the finals who took 2nd, 3 who placed 3rd, 2 who placed 4th, 1 who placed 5th, and 3 who placed 6th. Great job wrestlers! We are so proud of them for bringing home a trophy.

Also congratulations to our wrestlers and Coach Cordingly for being awarded as the 5A State Academic Champions. They have achieved this award 9 out of the last 10 years.

Academic Planning is coming up in February and March. Here are the important dates and events=

• 2/10-3/16/20: Academic Planning packets will be given to students in TA and they will complete their academic plan for the 2020-21 school year.
• 3/10-3/13/20: Counselors will visit the middle schools to speak with students about incoming Freshman academic planning/registration.
• 3/16/20: 3pm-5pm Highland incoming Freshman academic planning nights. 
• 3/17-3/18/20: 6pm-7:30pm Highland incoming Freshman academic planning nights.

In April students will be taking state assessments required for graduation.
Here is the schedule=

4/7/20: Sophomore's will be taking the English Language Arts ISAT.
4/14/20: Sophomore's will be taking the Math ISAT.
              Junior's will be taking the SAT
4/16/20: Junior's will be taking the Science ISAT.

All of these assessments are required by the State Department of Education for graduation in Idaho. Please make attendance on these days a priority. Please contact your student's counselor with questions or concerns.

If you have moved and need to update your address in Infinite Campus, please submit 2 current proofs of residency (utility bill, lease agreement, driver's license, etc.) to the registrar, Mrs. Whitehead. Highland sends out information on a regular basis to our families and it is important to us that you receive the information regarding your student and their success at Highland High School. Math Tutoring is available on Tuesdays from 7:30-8:30am in room B14 with Mrs. Wilkinson and on Tuesday's from 4pm-5pm in room B72 with Mrs. Davies.

Also, tutoring is now set up and available on Tuesday's and Thursday's starting 9/24/19 from 4-5pm with Mrs. Roberts in  Room E-56 and Mrs. Holston in Room B-19.
