Tonight, Monday 10/8/18, is National Honor Society Induction night at 7pm in the Highland Auditorium. We are excited and proud of all those students who are being inducted. Congratulations!
Wednesday marks the midterm of the first trimester. Finals for the first trimester will be on Monday 11/19 & Tuesday 11/20/18.
Wednesday, 10/10/18 the College and Career Advisors of Highland High School are holding a FASFA Night (Free application for Federal Student Aid) for graduating students and their family Night starting at 6pm in the Media Center.. For those who attend, please bring your 2017 Tax Return information with you. Pizza and drinks will be served.
Reminder to parents and students that the statewide PSAT day is Wednesday 10/10/18 for all sophomores and the juniors that have signed up and paid their exam fee. Freshman and Seniors will attend 3 sessions of passion classes. These are classes in which teachers share lessons of what they are passionate about. After lunch school will resume with 4th and 5th period as normal.

PSAT testing for sophomores and juniors who paid to take the exam will be this Wednesday, Oct. 10th.
It will start promptly at 8:32
There will not be a late testing room so if your student is later than 10 minutes they may not be able to test due to where the proctor is in the testing process.
Students need to bring the following on testing day:
**Two No. 2 pencils with soft erasers: no pens or mechanical pencils
**Acceptable calculator-All TA teachers received the acceptable list to share today, Monday, October 8, with students.
If wanted, snack and water to eat and drink during breaks.

Walks, you join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise
awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
(AFSP) to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for
public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss.
Thanks to Walkers and Donors like
you, AFSP has been able to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by
2025.
