We have extended our lunch for two reasons. First, a close member of our Highland Family passed away and we are accommodating the schedule so those who want to can attend the funeral. Second, before Make-A-Wish week Mr. Wallace, the Principal, made a deal with the student body that if they met their fundraising goal for Make-A-Wish they could have an extended lunch.

We are so proud of our Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) students who had 11 students place in the top 3 at the state competition in Boise, ID last week and 2 going to nationals-Abby Longhurst and Lauren Bates with 3 alternates-Braeden Lowther, Angelica Nelson, and Catherine Cogan.
Highland Speech will also be headed to compete at state on April 13th-14th at Madison High School (http://www.idhsaa.org/activities/speech.aspx). Go RAMS!

Also congratulations to our foreign exchange student, Beam, for winning Highland Idol and to all those that tried out and participated in the Highland Idol competition. The schedule continues to roll forward. Tomorrow, Tuesday 4/10/18 we have Juniors Idaho SAT exam day and Sophomores ISAT exam day. Juniors and Sophomores, it is essential that you attend school and are on time. Taking these assessments is a state graduation requirement. When you are finished with your assessments you can either go home for the day or attend the classes the Freshman will be taking part in.
Freshman will participate in classes where teachers are teaching fun things they are passionate about, and Seniors have the day off to fill out college applications and visit college campuses they want or may need to.

Be sure and purchase your $2 Ticket or Tickets for the Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM of Pocatello Raffle benefiting Athletics and Activities. Last year a Pocatello High School parent won a brand new Dodge Dart all expenses paid including taxes. Over $56,000 was raised for school activities in the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District in last years raffle. Support athletics and activities again this year and buy raffle tickets for $2 for the chance to win a new Jeep Renegade worth $25,000 donated by Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM of Pocatello. There is no limit on the number of tickets you can buy. All expenses for the car are covered, including taxes. All proceeds go to school athletics and activities. Tickets are on sale until May 21, 2018 and the drawing will take place at the new Lithia Dealership in Pocatello on May 31, 2018. Contact the school bursar to buy tickets (208)237-1300 and/or look to buy tickets and see the car on display at home events throughout the school year.
